Show Me The Money: Getting Grants and Government Contracts

This class will provide an overview of the granting process and address critical aspects of writing a fundable proposal. Learn to demonstrate strength and viability of your organization and how to give a compelling description of the situation your project will address. Understand essential components of grant proposals, how to locate grant prospects, and how to match a grantor’s interests.  Topics include:

  • Where’s the money?
  • Essential components to a grant proposal
  • Understanding the “intent” of the funder
  • Dissecting and research the Request for Proposals
  • Developing relationships with grant makers

Who should register?  Interested development professionals, novice grant writers, researchers, graduate students and anyone wanting to learn skills to be a grant writer.


About the Instructor 

Jane Shallal is the current President and CEO of United Community Family Services and has been writing and managing grants for over 15 years. Her Grant experience includes winning proposals submitted to federal, state and foundation granting agencies. Jane has extensive experience in grant management, program development and program management.
